No analytics, no tracking
There is no Google Analytics, no pixel, no fingerprinting and no advertising script. Nothing on this site profiles you or follows you to another website.

We collect nothing, because we do not want anything
Memorial pages should not be a data business. This site has no analytics, no advertising and no third-party services embedded in its pages. This page describes exactly what exists, without the hedging.
No cookies
We set no cookies at all. Your edit link is kept in your browser's local storage so you do not have to paste it every time — you can clear it at any point from the editor.
No third-party requests
Fonts and icons are bundled with the site rather than loaded from a CDN. A memorial page makes requests to this domain and nowhere else — with one exception a visitor controls: if you press play on a video, it loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain or Vimeo, and only then. Nothing is requested from them before you click.
What is stored, and where
Only what a family chooses to publish: a name, dates, a biography, photographs, stories, and any donation or charity links they add. It lives as plain files in a Git repository, which keeps a full history of every change.
Your edit key
Editing does not require an account. Each memorial has a secret edit key; only a one-way hash of it is ever stored. The link that carries the key uses a URL fragment, which browsers never send to the server, so the key stays out of logs.
Removing a page
Families can delete or unlist a memorial at any time, and the content is removed from the site. Because the storage is a Git repository, a determined person could still find older versions in its history — worth knowing before publishing anything.
The technical details, plainly
- Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, like nearly every website, which means your IP address reaches their network so the request can be answered and abuse blocked. Rate limiting happens in memory at the edge and is not stored in a database.
- Public by design. A public memorial page is public — anyone with the link can read it, and search engines may index it. Unlisted pages are excluded from the sitemap and the robots file, but a link is still a link.
- No accounts. We never ask for an email address, a phone number or a password in order to create or edit a memorial.
- Optional bot check. Some deployments enable Cloudflare Turnstile on the creation form to stop spam. When enabled it runs only on that form, and only if the operator chooses to turn it on.
